Equipped with proprietary Flash Knit technology, the all-new waterproof shoes by Vessi Footwear provide the highest level of protection against water. No more wet sock. By blending both polyester and nylon materials, the Vessi shoes are form-fitting, super flexible, and are capable of stretching in four different ways. Vessi Footwear has developed the first 100% waterproof shoes that are fully submersible and leave your shoes completely odorless, ventilated, and fresh. There really is no other waterproof shoe on the market that provides such comprehensive waterproof protection.
Innovative Design Features
Backed by $300,000 in funding through the company’s Kickstarter campaign, Vessi Footwear has one mission in mind: to create the next innovation in footwear. Designed to mimic the feeling of wearing socks, Vessi shoes are puddle-proof and seamlessly protect its wearers against all types of harsh weather conditions. The company wants to make one thing clear: these shoes are not water-repellant or water-resistant. They are a step above simply splash-proof and are 100% waterproof. for the lifespan of the shoes.
“Vessi’s moisture-wicking technology regulates the dispersal of moisture thus reducing feet sweat and the buildup of odors.”
Cutting-Edge Waterproof Shoe Technology
Vessi’s patented Flash Knit technology is a wearable-industry first. After two years of development and extensive testing, Vessi Footwear designed a three-layer system that is the magic behind its waterproof, water-repellant, windproof, moisture-wicking technology. Simply stated, Vessi spared no expense in creating its three-layer technology that includes its nano-filtering membrane, the stretch kit layer, and the comfort lining. Here is the breakdown of the three functional layers:
The Nano-Filtering Membrane and the heart of Vessi’s upper is a waterproof and moisture-wicking layer that keeps your feet dry while allowing moisture from your sweat and body heat to escape the shoe. This is not a coating and the waterproofing function will last the lifespan of the shoe.
The Stretch Knit Layer of the Vessi upper is a knitted layer composed of a blend of polyester and nylon. We chose this specific blend to create an elastic yet durable knit that stretches to the shape of your feet. This encourages you to move naturally.
The Comfort Lining is designed to mimic the feeling of wearing socks. It is soft to the touch and form-fitting.
The Difference Maker
All of Vessi’s lab testing paid off. The Nano-Filtering Membrane strategically keeps moisture out and at the same time, allows for breathability. The end result: a 100% waterproof shoe that keeps the odor completely out. You won’t have smelly shoes after spending the day walking through puddles in rainstorm rain storm. As for traction in wet conditions, Vessi built a rubber sole tread that maximizes grip while keeping your feet arches in an ergonomically-sound position. Vessi’s provide optimal cushioning and maximizes energy return whether you’re running a 5K or simply walking a few blocks to work.
So, are the new Vessi Waterproof Shoes easy to clean? The short answer: Yes. Vessi Footwear engineered a waterproof shoe equipped with hydrophobic surface treatment. Wearers not only have all-day protection up to their ankle but can throw them in the wash for an instant cleaning rejuvenation. Since the Vessi shoes are built without seams, the water stays out and the bad odors are released through its breathable fabric materials.
Optimal Shoe Comfort
Oh, did we mention that these shoes are super-comfortable and incredibly lightweight? Well, they are. Using the company’s proprietary one-piece circle knitting manufacturing technique, the Vessi shoes are form-fitting and hug your feet for a personalized fit. They are also equipped with the company’s innovative Vzero midsoles. They’re designed for comfort and to maximize energy return with every step you take.

I caught one’s foot on a rock, yesterday. And today this shoe doesn’t waterproof anymore((

Waterproof but definately not dirt proof with the rain and weather in Vancouver. Wish I got a black pair. Disappointed.
Bought them because they are waterproof but most surprised by how light and comfortable they are!
Terrible customer service! I bought a pair for $99 on Black Friday, orginal price $129. It’s very hard to get into the shoes because of the shoe tougue cannot be moved around. I contacted customer service, was told I cannot return them, bc all sales items are not returnable. Don’t buy from them!

These shoes are absolutely amazing! My go to pair
I used my Vessis lightly over the course of a few months. In just this limited amount of time, the sole tread began to separate from the shoe. I contacted Vessi customer support, and they offered a glib “glue it back on”. Absolutely AWFUL customer service with no regard for their customer’s well being. If “glue it back on” was their only suggestion, they could have at least told me what time of glue to use, or even sent me some glue…since, of course, it was THEIR product that failed after two months.

Defective. Loved my Vessi’s until they stopped being waterproof. Hardly any wear on the shoe. Just city use. Contacted the company and they offered me 20% off a new pair. Now why would I buy a new pair when these ones don’t work? They are hardly a fashion statement. I bought them for Vancouver rain.

I had been watching Vessi for some time and I noticed that in one jump they went from $100 to $139. I couldn’t afford that, and I didn’t like the 39% increase. I see now they are even more expensive.
So, when they went on sale for $100, I ordered them. I don’t recall seeing any warning that sale items could not be returned. (Why not???) In any case, the opening is much too small and I couldn’t even get my foot in the darned shoe. My sister who takes a shoe size 3.5 smaller than mine couldn’t either. I asked Vessi for a refund but was told that I couldn’t since they were on sale. They did say I could get another size (just in this case…), but I already had bought the largest size (11).
Before finding out I couldn’t return them, I had tried to and on their return page, one of the options for returning is that the opening is too small. I kept trying to get through the return links only to be told I couldn’t return them. Now I’m stuck with a brand new pair of shoes that I can never wear. I was thinking of taking them to the shoemaker and asking for two small zippers or even a couple of laces, but this may make them no longer waterproof. It’s obvious that Vessi Footwear knew the flaw was there but offloaded them to consumers like me. I would never recommend them to anyone. Their customer service stinks and even the one star I had to click on is one too many. They are just awful!

Bought a pair and the backing ripped after only 7 months. Not impressed and Vessi didn’t care either. Poor quality of product and customer care. They work fine as far as waterproof goes but not so waterproof anymore.
I bought these shoes to travel around Europe in. They are waterproof (unless it’s raining and the rain hits your sock), then the water can travel down your sock. Good for light rain an puddles. You need to wear socks high up because the seam around the ankle is really uncomfortable and rubs on your ankle the whole time. They’re fine looking on boys, but look really bulky and ugly on girls’ feet. They kind of look like bulky marshmellows. The worst part is, they have NO support; so your feet with absolutely throb by the end of the day. They also look quite worn after only a week of wearing them. DO NO RECOMMEND. Doubt I will wear them much at all….

If I could, I would give them 0 stars. I ordered 2 pairs of their shoes worth almost $300. Only got 1 pair delivered. I reported to the support “team”, don’t even think it is a team, seems to me it is an automatic email reply.
I first reported the missing pair of shoes right on the first day I received the other pair. A day later someone with the name Wendell sent me an email:
Hi,
Thank you for reaching out.
We will be endorsing this to our management team for more investigation about the issue.
We apologize for the inconvenience. We assure you that we are working hard towards resolving this.
Let us know if you have any other concerns.
Best,
Wendell
So I waited. A few days later I sent out a following up email asking what the status would be. The same email came back with the exact same message from a person named Wendell. It has been over a week now and I have not received anything. This guy doesn’t even have a phone number to call on their website. I just don’t understand what kind of business one is running without a phone number listed for the customer to call.
I don’t care how good their shoes are. Such bad customer service is a BIG NO NO to deal with.
