Let’s be honest – your weight only tells half the story – even BMI (Body Mass Index) is not a true indicator of physical health. You can be in incredible shape but your BMI could be over 30 which means you are considered “obese,” when in actuality you’re a seasoned weightlifting focused on building muscle mass. The same goes if you’re extremely underweight – a low BMI and low body weight does not mean you are in great shape. You may need to build lean muscle mass for better posture, bone health, or conditioning purposes. The scale doesn’t give you the real insight into your body measurements.
