The era of electric bikes is in full swing and thankfully, technology has enabled us to transform our traditional pedal bikes into throttle-powered vehicles. Introducing GeoOrbital – a revolutionary wheel that replaces a standard bicycle’s wheel. Capable of reaching a top speed of 20 mph and a max range of 20 miles (700c), the GeoOrbital Wheel turns your bike into a modern eBike in about 60 seconds – just pop off the front wheel and attach.

From assistance up steep hills to switching to a more eco-friendly commute, the GeoOrbital Wheel is equipped with a thumb-activated throttle and gets a pedal assisted range up to 50 miles per battery (up to 30-mile range for the 26″ wheel). If you bike for cardio conditioning, you can strategically work in the pedal assist up hills and then manually pedal along straightaways. This will give you the resistance of a traditional pedal bike and the benefits of pedal assist up challenging hills. Pedaling also has the added bonus of extending GeoOrbital’s battery range.
Developed by engineers from SpaceX and Ford, the Boston-based GeoOrbital made its innovative Wheel from aerospace-grade aluminum for maximum durability. With the rider at the forefront of their design efforts, the GeoOrbital tire is made from flat-proof foam and a durable rubber tread – making sure that you never get stranded with a flat in the middle of your next bike adventure.
The GeoOrbital is armed with an impressive 500W motor which according to the company’s site, “puts out twice the power of an Olympic Cyclist.” Equipped with a Direct Drive system featuring regenerative braking technology, riders have the luxury of a self-propelled eBike that harnesses energy for longer trips. By simply clipping the thumb-throttle onto the handlebar, the bike that you once knew is no longer. It’s now powered by a removable Panasonic 36v lithium-ion battery affixed to GeoOrbital’s hubless wheel.
Tested on hundreds of different 26″, 28″, 29″, and 700c bicycles, the GeoOrbital Wheel is fully compatible with road bikes, hybrid bikes, mountain bikes, recumbents, folding bikes, and kick-bikes. Available in two wheel sizes (700c and 26″) – both in a Boston silver rim color – the GeoOrbital resembles the wheels showcases on TRON motorcycles. In other words, looking stylish will not be an issue.
So what makes the GeoOrbital so unique outside of its hubless wheel design? For one, installation is a breeze. Simply clip on the throttle and use it as a gas pedal. Secondly, the flat-proof foam tires are a game-changer. Not only are you ripping through town on your own bike at speeds up to 20 mph, you also have a worry-free electric bike impervious to flats. According to the startup, the foam tire has been “tested to last 5,000 to 10,000 miles depending on use.”
With all of the electronics water-resistant and tested in all types of conditions (rain, snow, dirt, grass, gravel), GeoOrbital has really thought of everything when designing its revolutionary wheel.
other than looking good it was my worst purchase for this price. It is heavy, noisy, it clinks and clanks unless on a perfectly smooth surface. I have only gotten 17 miles out of the battery with assist. The foam wheel is too firm so I feel every bump has a hard jarring hit. There is resistance if you can catch up to the max speed of the motor and if the battery dies you will have to battle the resistance of the motor as it will not freewheel. On day one I had to fidget around with the axel as it did nit fit the width of my fork. That was an omen. I have now ordered a Leed e-bike kit with double the miles for less money. I do not think the company thought through how one will true the wheel without spokes and the recommended way to tighten up the battery is a bandaid fix. It is too late for me but save yourself $1000.00.

At first i thought this was the beat wheel ever. I rode it throughout the streets pf Detroit and was even showing it to others. I rode one day and the battery completely died. I wrote in for the warranty and figure I’d go ahead and by another $200 battery because I loved riding this wheel. Soon that battery died as well And now neither battery works. The team their has been very slow with responses and I’m starting g to think i wasted $1300. Needs for work on the battery and a more reliable staff to handle customer care.

worst purchase ever. But it looks like I am not a loan. must learn to read all the reviews. and ignore the good reviews because that’s just BULL from the staff or ??????.
Expensive JUNK.. forget it
Don’t buy it. It’s a waste of money. Waited 8 months for my wheel to come in. Tested it out a few times and was very disappointed.
