In order to be called “The World’s Most Advanced Backpack,” it better be one smart backpack; and secondly, it has to function well as an actual backpack; i.e., spacious, rugged, and comfortable. Introducing the Barracuda Konzu – the wirelessly charged backpack that comes with a full arsenal of hi-tech smart features and better yet, performs well beyond expectations as a super tough backpack.
The Konzu is a chargeable backpack that has a running list of features that protects your belongings from savvy pickpocketers and at the same time shields your information from hackers. So if you’re a commuter traveling with a Best Buy inventory of tech gadgets or just someone interested in safeguarding their laptop, the Konzu is the perfect backpack for you.
From the creators of the Barracuda Carry-On, the Konzu has a revolutionary Push-2-Lock system. The backpack’s four external zippers (2 main/2 pockets) are easily locked into place with just a push of a button. By pressing down/up on the conveniently placed button (on the strap), you can easily fend off any subway thief planning to unzip your bag and steal your stuff. What if you forget to fully zip your backpack in the first place? Powered by integrated sensors, Konzu comes with ann open-bag alert – letting you know, “hey, you’re backpack is open.” Whether it’s the Push-2-Lock system or the Open-Bag Alert, the Konzu backpack offers a duo-pronged security feature that keeps your stuff safe and sound during your travels. Oh and by the way, if you’re a coffee shop frequenter, Konzu’s RFID-shielded pockets keeps your most sensitive devices protected from would-be hackers.
Already backed with approximately $217,000 in Kickstarter funding, Konzu’s most practical feature, in my opinion, is its 10 mAh battery pack. With the option of wirelessly charging your backpack via its patented-pending charging stand, Konzu will be fully powered up in 8-10 hours. That means wherever you go, you have an instant power source right on your back. You can even leave your smart devices inside the bag plugged into Konzu’s internal USB port – charging your smart devices alongside your backpack. Upgrade to the Wood-Dual Charging Station and you have a sophisticated stand equipped with a transmitter that can charge QI compatible devices.
If you’re someone who is known for losing their keys, the Konzu can save you from the frustrating “where’s the last place I put them” game we all play. The backpack comes with a retractable key ring perfectly located in a strategically placed key pocket. The heavy-duty cord works with employee ID’s, scan cards, key fobs, you name it. As long as you have your backpack, there won’t be a need for digging into the endless abyss of a bag in search of your keys; or better yet, relying on a colleague to scan you into work while you fumble through your wallet in search of the employee ID hidden behind your license. Konzu’s retractable key ring saves you from these situations.
So at this point, you’re probably convinced that the Konzu is a pretty smart backpack. But that begs the question: how does it function as a backpack? If you’re heading to the airport, the Konzu is top notch. The expandable strap system allows for that much-needed extra storage for an additional pair of shoes or that all-weather windbreaker. Who doesn’t love (sarcasm) putting their laptop in a separate bin on the conveyor belt at security? Not only is your most beloved device separated from the rest of your stuff, it’s a pain to get at it. Not with the Konzu – just unzip the TSA-approved laptop sleeve and voila – instant access to a laptop sleep (on the left) and a tablet sleeve (on the right).
Finally, traveling with a backpack and luggage has never been so seamless. Whether it’s Konzu’s super ergonomic padding or its luggage handle attachment, travelers can whip through checkpoints without any added struggle. If you want to be a true traveling ninja, purchase the collapsible Barracuda Carry-On and Konzu combo pack and you’ll be carrying the most digitally advanced luggage in any given terminal.
Still didn’t receive the bad. The bag was suppose to come with a push-to-lock feature with basically is a switch which you pull down from the strap and the zippers lock. That function was scrapped off and is the main function which made me buy the bag. Moreover, they did not compensate us for that but charged us more for shipping. Shame!

Still not receive anything yet. Now they try to ask for the shipping cost, again.
Awful!
They removed most of the best features (switch to lock, TSA approved zipper!, and damnit even the little slot for that stupid camera stick…) – and of course shipped over 2 YEARS later. Really a complete disaster.
Got my bag last night. Very disappointed. No instruction booklet and listed website https://pk1.konzu.co is not up to see if there is at least an online version. The lock function on the bag was a big reason I bought into the Kickstarter for this as well. It has been replaced by a steel cable in one of the straps on the front of the backpack while wearing it, that I guess is supposed to hook onto the zippers, but again no instructions. That and the cable is not long enough to connect to the zippers while wearing the backpack. Couldn’t be more dissatisfied. Wireless charging station is a joke too.

Haven’t even received my backpack, and it has been two years in the making. No way to contact anyone, as their « store »’is closed. Paid a fortune for a bag I didn’t receive. Does someone have a contact? Even if the bag is crap, I still want to receive what I paid close to 300 for. Can anyone help? Thx
